FAQs
Does my garment need to be 100% wool?
Wool garments work best. Their fibres tangle nicely with my Shetland wool and create a longer lasting design.
However, it's possible to felt into acrylic as long is it's not too stretchy or thin.
If in doubt, attach a photo on the form and I'll let you know whether upcycling is possible.
How much will it cost?
Prices start at £100, but each design is unique so I price them individually.
To keep things as transparent as possible, each of your 3 designs will come with a price label.
If you have an amount in mind, let me know when you fill out the form and I'll create designs to suit your budget.
How much is shipping?
I ask that you cover the costs of shipping your garment to me, and in return I'll give you free shipping once it's finished.
Customs fees and other tariffs are the customer's responsibility.
How do I care for my garment?
Felted garments require a little more care than usual clothes. Even though I wet felt each design to make sure it's durable, improper care can lead to the wool warping or becoming loose.
Treat your felted knitwear like any other 100% wool jumper.
I recommend handwashing, but if that's not possible, make sure your washing machine is on its coldest most delicate setting. Use a wool detergent and lay flat on a towel to dry.
What if my upcycled garment gets damaged?
It's natural for the felt design to get fluffy over time. Electric lint trimmers (or scissors if you're analogue) can help trim unsightly pills and fluffs.
If holes appear where the design is, or the felt becomes too thin, you can send it to me for a free touch-up! Just cover postage.
New stains and holes appear all the time. Get 10% off when you send me a previously upcycled garment to repair.
Can you find a garment for me?
As of 2026, I cannot source jumpers for commissions.
